Steel-cased ammunition is a fine choice for shooters who would rather not spend the end of a range day sifting brass from pebbles and then manually separating it by caliber. These 9mm Luger loads from Winchester are built using steel casings that are treated with a proprietary coating; this material alleviates the risk of rust during long periods of storage. Unlike foreign-sourced ammo built on steel casings, Winchester uses all-American components including clean-igniting Boxer primers that are free of corrosive salts. Each case is crimped to a 115-grain full metal jacket (FMJ) bullet, (the same non-magnetic bullet you find in Winchester’s White Box 9mm 115 gr) which is suited towards steel challenge, IDPA, and general plinking.
The FMJ features a curved surface that will feed faithfully in all manner of 9x19mm Parabellum firearms from the H&K P30 to the CZ-75B. The light projectile weight produces minimal recoil for a pleasant range experience that will agree with less experienced shooters as well. Winchester has been around for 150 years and strongly supports sporting activities, hunting, and law enforcement needs. They developed the USA Forged line to help support shooters with a less expensive option for high-volume practice.
