.380 ACP: The Biggest Little Caliber
PMC makes great range ammo. Their Bronze series cartridges feature 90 grain round nose profile full metal jacket projectiles, which are backed by propellant charges that give them a muzzle velocity of 961 fps. The solid point FMJ won’t do anything fancier to soft tissue than penetrate it in a straight line, which is only to say this ammo’s terminal ballistics are not optimal for self-defense applications. PMC doesn’t utilize steel while making their pistol bullets, so no worries if you frequent a range that ixnays “magnetic” ammo.
PMC is specifically a South Korean manufacturer (it’ll be a cold day in Ecuador before the other Korea starts shipping their ammo to the US). They’re responsible for creating ammo for their nation’s military, and the new production ammo they provide to the civilian market features premium reloadable noncorrosive Boxer-primed brass cases.
