This .38 Special ammunition from Black Hills is optimized for cowboy action shooting. Each round is loaded with a heavy 158 grain solid cast bullet in a semi-wadcutter profile. Fired at a relatively low muzzle velocity of 800 feet per second, these projectiles work well for steel and paper target shooting and deliver mild recoil to make faster follow up shots easier. The flat nose of these rounds also works well in rifles with tubular magazines.
